Difference causes so much hatred and conflict. Why is this?

Grazyna Czubinska offers a psychoanalytic exploration of this phenomenon and follows Karl Figlio’s proposition that Difference is a defence against Sameness and that we need to create differences in order to protect our identity and our survival. She will postulate that the majority of human conflicts can be attributed to Narcissism at a cost of insufficient development in the lead-up to object relating.

Clinical case material of an intense long-term therapy will be offered to illuminate an ongoing theoretical discourse.
